Bring the family to 7th Street Public Market, 224 East 7th Street, on Saturday, February 28th, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., for a unique, free event that focuses on healthful eating and bicycle-riding. Viva La Bicycle Parade and Progressive Food Party will start with performances by McColl Center for Art + Innovation Knight Artist-in-Residence Robert Karimi, who, along with local middle school students, will present performances that encourage eating nourishing foods and well-balanced meals. Enjoy free food samples from the vendors throughout the market. In the Grand Finale, Karimi will take out his Low Rider Kitchen Cart Bicycle and lead a bicycle parade around Uptown Charlotte, finishing with a celebration at the market. Families are encouraged to bring their own bicycles or rent one from a B-Cycle station.
