International Waffle Day is Tuesday, March 25, 2025! This food holiday originated in Sweden, where it’s called Vaffeldagen, which means…Waffle Day. Waffle Day’s origin story is the celebration of Vårfrudagen, meaning “Our Lady’s Day,” which is the Feast of the Annunciation, commemorating the visit of the archangel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary, telling her that she would be the mother of Jesus. Vårfrudagen sounds a lot like Vaffeldagen, so over time, Swedes began to celebrate by eating waffles.
There’s also a National Waffle Day in August. Waffles are good. Why not celebrate them twice, right?

Ben & Jerry’s Davidson
On March 25, 2025, from 12 to 9 p.m., at Ben & Jerry’s, 202 South Main Street, Davidson, North Carolina, get a free waffle cone with the purchase of a large scoop of ice cream. Announced on Facebook.

Huddle House
According to a press release, Huddle House is offering a free Golden Waffle with the purchase of any $8 entrée at participating locations on March 25, 2025. The offer is available for dine-in guests only. The closest Huddle House to Charlotte are in York and Lancaster, South Carolina. Find other locations here. Huddle House teased the deal on Facebook and should be updating there soon!
