Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte, 650 East Stonewall Street, is inviting the public to the first rehearsal for “River City.” This event, called Fuel the Art is a chance to see the very beginning of a production, which will make it even more interesting when you return to see the real deal. Not only is the event free but there will be free pizza and beer as well. There are only 200 spots and you need to sign up in advance. The event starts with the beer and pizza at 6:00 p.m. and the rehearsal starts at 7:00 p.m.
River City will be at Actor’s Theatre in September, with previews in late August. Determined to excavate her heritage, Mary goes on a quest to uncover a half-century of family and town secrets buried in the West End of Louisville, Kentucky.
