Downtown Waxhaw hosts a free family friendly event the first Friday of every month. April 4th, 2014, from 5pm to 8pm, Waxhaw’s First Friday early Easter event will take place: Get your Easter egg baskets dusted off and mark your calendar for Waxhaw’s First Friday, April 4th! Yes adults, you too! From 5pm to 8:30pm, historic downtown Waxhaw is beginning Easter fun early! At 5:15pm, children up to the age of 9 years are welcome to take part in our Bunny Egg Hunt, located in the David G. Barnes Park on W. South Main Street. At 6:30pm, kids 10 and up are invited to hunt for eggs during the Rabbit Hunt, located at Eight Legs Gallery on E. South Main Street. Adults can also take part in an Adult Egg Hunt, located at participating businesses in the downtown area. Kid’s crafts, free carriage rides, great specials, local art and live music round out a great family night in Waxhaw! Hope to see you there!
