Note: this event has been cancelled due to inclement weather. The Museum of the Waxhaws is honoring Vietnam Vets with a program, Welcome Home Vietnam Vets, on Saturday, October 3rd, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It’s free and open to all. During the program and after it ends at 3:30 p.m. guests can explore the Museum of the Waxhaws until 5:00 p.m. with no admission charge.
Veterans can register and receive an Honorarium coin and an ID badge. A ceremony at 11:00 a.m. to honor Vietnam Veterans. There will be children’s games at the cabin. At 1:30 p.m. there will be a USO-style show in the front of the museum property. Vendors will have food for sale during the day.
