Winner announced! Win McDonald’s Happy Meals for your child’s entire class

Update: We have a winner! Congratulations to Tara Griffin! This was such a popular contest I’m sure we will be doing it again soon, so make sure to subscribe to Charlotte on the Cheap, and tell your friends! Kids go back to school in less than a month. Start off on the right foot with this great prize package from McDonald’s. Treat your child’s whole class to free Happy Meals. The prize will be in the form of individual gift cards that won’t expire until July, 2015, so maybe your child’s teacher will want to use them as prizes throughout the year, or for a class party. The prize includes a few gift cards for the teacher as well. The gift cards are valid at any North Carolina or South Carolina McDonald’s. McDonald’s is working to introduce healthier options for kids’ meals, and one new item this summer is Go-GURT. Kids can choose either low-fat strawberry Go-GURT or apple slices in addition to fries, or they can choose both Go-GURT and apple slices instead of fries.

Here’s how to enter:

  • Be an email subscriber of Charlotte on the Cheap. If you’re not, you can subscribe now. Sadly, almost every time we hold a contest, there’s someone who would have won but didn’t because he or she did not subscribe.
  • Leave a comment to this post.
  • Check your email on Wednesday, August 6th, and make sure that emails from cheapskate@charlotteonthecheap.com don’t end up in your spam folder. I’ll email the winner, who will have 48 hours to respond before an alternate winner is selected.

Here’s what the winner will receive:

  • 31 gift cards for Happy Meals
  • One gift card for a small McCafe Beverage of your choice
  • One gift card for a free medium tea or soft drink
  • One gift card for a snack size Chicken McBites
  • 31 Charlotte on the Cheap temporary tattoos, for instant playground cred for the whole class
