Congratulations to the five winners:Tamara Speight, Dawn Martinez, Lauren Beltz, Candy Lake and Sharisse K. Stafford. The nice people at Brixx Pizza sent me five cards for free pizzas to give out to readers. Five Charlotte on the Cheap readers will each win one pizza. If you haven’t tried Brixx Wood Fired Pizza, you should. It’s good stuff. I like going to the location at 225 East 6th Street, under 7th Street Station, when I’m Uptown. The Uptown location has a fun deal on Sundays: Make your own pizza: $6.95 for a tray with dough, sauce, cheese, and pepperonis. It’s available to people of all ages, but is especially fun for kids.

Other Charlotte area locations are 7814 Fairview Road (Foxcroft), 9820 Rea Road (Blakeney) 1801 Scott Avenue (Dilworth) and 16915 Birkdale Commons Parkway in Huntersville (Birkdale.) The pizza gift cards will be valid at all locations and are good through the end of 2014.

    I LOVE Brixx pizza and I LOVE Charlotte on the Cheap! Brixx is awesome. Great patio, great beer selection and great food! I also have to rave on the service. Specifially the last time I was at the Brixx on East; our waiter went above and beyond to tell us about certain pizza’s we were inquiring about; he was very knowledgable of the menu and was not annoyed with all of our questions 🙂

    The Greek, the Mexican, the Margherita, the Artichoke, the Wild Mushroom…every time I go to Brixx, I get stuck in a mind swirl about which to order. I’m that annoying person at the table who insists on ordering last to give myself more time and then still sit there frozen in contemplation while the waiter resists every urge to tap his pen on his notepad to hurry me along. 🙂

    “Yum…. Haven’t had a chance to enjoy Brixx in ages!!!! Nothing like a Cold Tap Draft and a Margarita Hand Tossed Pizza, baked to perfection…ONLY the way Brixx can create… Mmm….My mouth is watering just thinking about that hot, melted cheese & the crunch of the “just rIght amount of crispness”…. Yes, it’s been WAY too long and I can’t think of a BETTER way to a spend a Girl’s Night Out, then to spend it at Brixx with our first one free !” 🙂

    My whole family loves Brixx pizza! My favorite is the Hawaiian. I love how they make everything from scratch, including the focaccia bread for their sandwiches. Yum!

    We love Brixx. Always get the gift cards at Christmas to use the following year. Husband loves the pasta, I love the bar-b-que chicken and the Hawaiian. Drive 14 miles to get to Birkdale.
