Congratulations to the winner, Scott Creigh! Remember, the tickets for this show are low-priced for everyone at The Evening Muse: $8-$10. Purchase online now. One Charlotte on the Cheap reader will win two tickets to folk/rock band Time Sawyer’s CD Release Show at The Evening Muse, 3227 North Davidson Street, Saturday, March 1st, at 8pm, plus the new CD, Disguise the Limits. Pat Moran wrote this about Time Sawyer in Creative Loafing: “Standing at the crossroads of rustic folk, mountain bluegrass and rocking alt‐country, Elkin, N.C.’s Time Sawyer is a young band with plenty of old soul. They craft catchy, uplifting, not‐too‐polished tunes that retain the uncertainty and grit of daily life.”
Time Sawyer is one of my favorite band anywhere and we’re lucky that they’re local to us and we can hear them at a top-notch small venue like The Evening Muse. They put on a great show. If you haven’t checked them out yet make sure to do that while you can still see them close up. You can listen to A Little Bluer, the first single from the new CD, which will be released February 25th, now:
The doors open at 7pm, the Knoxville-based band Cereus Bright plays at 8pm, and Time Sawyer follows. Tickets are $8 to $10 and you can buy them in advance online. Time Sawyer’s previous shows at The Evening Muse have been packed, so it’s a good idea to secure those tickets in advance.
The winner of this contest will receive:
- Two admissions to the show
- One CD from Time Sawyer
To enter, just email cheapskate@charlotteonthecheap.com with the subject line “Time Sawyer.” The winner will be randomly selected Monday, February 17th, and will be notified by email. Your name will be on the list at the door, for admission for you and a friend, and it will be at the merchandise table so you can pick up your CD. Please include your full name in the email and enter just once.
