Unfortunately, this pursuit of beauty has led to tragic consequences. Reports indicate that hair relaxers are linked to various cancers, including ovarian, cervical, and breast cancer. Additionally, chemical relaxers have been connected to the development of fibroids.
If you’d like to dive deeper into this issue, check out the valuable insights from Director of Nursing, Patara Parham. With 33 years of nursing experience, Patara has been a leader in the healthcare industry for over 23 years. Her areas of interest include chronic disease prevention and management and reducing barriers through health education and literacy.
