World Piano Day concert with Dr. Gregory Thompson

Celebrate World Piano Day by enjoying a free, online concert with Dr. Gregory Thompson, on Monday, March 29th, 2021, at 7:30 p.m.

This concert is presented by WDAV and Steinway Piano Galleries of the Carolinas, and will be on WDAV’s Facebook page.

An acclaimed solo and collaborative artist, Dr. Thompson has been praised by the New York Times for his “intuitive feeling for phrase shapes” and ability to “make a melodic line sing.” He currently serves as an Associate Professor of Music at Winston-Salem University in Winston-Salem, NC.

Dr. Thompson has planned a program of works from Adolpus Hailstork, Florence Price, and Irene Britton Smith.
