Xfinity wi-fi hotspots are currently free for anyone who needs a connection — even those who don’t subscribe to Xfinity Internet. This is true nationwide.
Comcast took this step so that everyone could stay connected.
You will now be able to access the internet with a laptop, tablet, or other device that lacks a cellular data plan.
You can find a map and search tool for Xfinity hotspots online here.
Once you’re at a hotspot, just open the wi-fi settings on your device and select the “xfinitywifi” network name in the list of available connections — then just launch a browser or an app.
“During this extraordinary time, it is vital that as many Americans as possible stay connected to the internet – for education, work, and personal health reasons,” said Dave Watson, Comcast Cable Chief Executive Officer.
